DANCHE - Ethiopia - honey

Danche is a washing station in Gedeb, Yirgacheffe, where around 800 local small farmers deliver their cherries. Each farm is 2 to 3 hectares in size and is located at an elevation of 2,200 MASL. The main varieties supplied are Kurume and Wolisho. This honey-processed section is lively and expressive. We find the honey process intensifies the flavors while keeping the cup clean. We taste notes of mixed citrus, such as yuzu and mandarin, along with sticky peach nectar and white grape.

ilse was founded in 2019 with the aim of showcasing the best coffees in the world and opening people's eyes to what coffee can be. Quality coffee is what got us into specialty coffee in the first place, but the people we've met along the way are what keep us here and, more importantly, inspire and motivate us to grow.
