A staple in many specialty coffee shops, this hand filter is based on a 2007 design by Hario (Japan). V60 refers to the V shape and that opens at a 60 degree angle. Another special feature besides the shape is also the large opening at the bottom, which allows for faster and more consistent extraction compared to traditional hand filters (such as: Melitta).
