About the coffee
About the coffee
The farm covers 80 hectares, where coffee and plantains are grown. Daniel recognized specialty coffee as an opportunity to increase the value of his crop. He experiments with different processing methods, such as natural, honey, and semi-washed, to find out which method best suits his coffees. The main varieties grown include Castillo, Bourbon Amarillo, Gesha, and Pacamara.
He has also integrated plantains into his coffee plantations. These not only serve as a natural protective barrier but also support him during periods of poor harvests.
The average monthly temperature on the farm is 23°C, with highs of 28°C and lows of 15°C.
